Look at one in store before buying this junk. I made the mistake of buying this without seeing it fully setup. There are a lot of flaws that make not just these, but nearly all TKO stands unusable.
1) Adjustable height - even at highest setting, it’s still not high enough–especially on heavy bags where the weight is concentrated at the bottom. You’re basically limited to uppercuts, unless you want to punch while sitting down. Even taking off the chain links isn’t adequate.
2) Stability - If you hit hard, this thing will shake and make noise as it gets older. You can try adding the weights as suggested, but you shouldn’t have to modify something that should work right out of the box.
3) Design - Not for kicking. You will hit the support legs on the way down a lot of times. It’s actually pretty dangerous if used for that purpose as a number of things can happen.
Conclusion: I do not recommend TKO stands at all. The design is flawed, and it’s more trouble than it’s worth.
